This is one of only 2 pages in the entire book that puts a large part of the focus on Sandman! Unfortunately, a fire demon manages to sneak up on him and grabs him from behind, thereby burning him badly. Before he falls to the ground incapacitated however, he surprises Aquaman by firing his gun at the demon and instead of gas, it is liquid nitrogen that fires out of it, quickly destroying the demon!

Aquaman kneels over the badly burned Sandman, whose mask is half destroyed and suit partially burned off. The fire on him has died out but he's badly wounded. Aquaman comforts him and puts his own plan into action!
